Job Title

Senior Taleo Consultant / Senior Taleo Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Taleo Resource to lead the design, configuration, enhancement, and support of the Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise in Taleo modules, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable recruitment and talent management solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

Taleo Configuration & Support

  • Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle Taleo modules, including:  
  • Taleo Recruiting (OTAC) 
  • Career Sections (internal and external) 
  • Taleo Connect Client (TCC) 
  • Provide advanced production support, troubleshooting complex issues related to workflows, requisitions, offers, and integrations. 
  • Manage Taleo upgrades, patches, and feature rollouts. 

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and IT stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. 
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership on Taleo best practices and system capabilities. 

Integrations & Data Management

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Taleo and other HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP, payroll, background check vendors). 
  • Utilize Taleo Connect Client (TCC), web services, and data loads for inbound and outbound integrations. 
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies. 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain standard and custom Taleo reports and dashboards. 
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs for recruiting metrics, compliance, and executive insights. 
  • Assist in optimizing recruiting KPIs and analytics. 

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Taleo resources and HR system analysts. 
  • Lead small to mid-sized Taleo projects and enhancement initiatives. 
  • Contribute to process documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions. 

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 6–10+ years of experience working with Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition. 
  • Proven experience in at least one full Taleo implementation and multiple enhancement/support engagements. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Taleo Recruiting configuration and TCC integrations. 

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep understanding of Taleo Recruiting workflows, requisition lifecycle, candidate management, and offer processes. 
  • Hands-on expertise with:  
  • Taleo Connect Client (TCC) 
  • XML, CSV, and data integrations 
  • Web services and APIs 
  • Experience with Career Section configuration, branding, and localization. 
  • Strong reporting and analytics capabilities within Taleo. 

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Taleo certification(s). 
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud integrations. 
  • Exposure to global recruiting processes and compliance requirements (GDPR, EEOC, OFCCP). 
  • Prior experience in large enterprise or global HR environments. 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
