One of your most important steps is to ensure you’re set up with a bank account in Ireland. Check out the steps below for how to get started.

What documents do I need to open a bank account?

1. A valid form of ID. Your passport, driving license or national identity card (if you’re an EU citizen) are all valid forms of photo ID.

2. A document to prove your address:

- a recent utility bill (less than 6 months old)
- a recent bank statement (less than 6 months old)
- correspondence from a government department or authority
