What You'll be Doing

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Vice President, IT Global Capability Center will serve as the senior-most company representative at our Hyderabad office, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and cultural stewardship for one of our most important global hubs. This role is accountable for aligning local execution with enterprise priorities, building a high-performance, inclusive, and engaged workplace, and representing the company’s interests in Hyderabad IT Global Capability Center India.

This leader will also be critical in closing regional leadership gaps, serving as the on-the-ground executive for teams without senior local leaders — ensuring consistent strategic direction, operational continuity, and cultural alignment with the organization’s values.

During a Typical Week, You'll

Strategic Leadership & Site Representation

  • Represent the Hyderabad IT Global Capability Center in global leadership forums as the senior-most local leader.
  • Align site operations, priorities, and culture with global strategy and objectives.
  • Influence corporate decisions by contributing local insights, risks, and opportunities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for site-specific concerns and represent the company with credibility in India’s professional ecosystem.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Oversee site-level operational activities in collaboration with facilities, security, and IT.
  • Chair the Site Governance Committee.
  • Collaborate with India Legal Counsel to ensure compliance with all India-specific legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Ensure business continuity planning, risk mitigation, and physical security are in place and regularly tested.

Talent Development & Culture

  • Partner with People & Culture (P&C) and global functional leaders to build a strong talent pipeline for critical capabilities.
  • Help driving programs for employee engagement, retention, diversity & inclusion, and leadership development.
  • Act as the face of the company locally to attract and retain top talent.
  • Mentor and coach local leaders and high-potential employees.

Employer Branding & Community Engagement

  • Enhance the company’s reputation as a top employer in India for the Hyderabad Global Capability Center, in collaboration with the global employer branding team.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, academic partnerships, and community initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local industry bodies, universities, vendors, and government stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation

  • Facilitate integration across local teams (Technology, P&C, Finance, Legal, Operations) to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Share best practices across other global and regional sites.
  • Support strategic projects that advance both local and enterprise-level capabilities.

What You Bring to the Role

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in technology and operations, preferably in global matrix organizations.
  • Proven track record in site leadership, talent development, and cross-functional influence.
  • Experience in managing large, diverse teams in India, with strong alignment to global corporate culture.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence skills.
