What You’ll Do –
Design and implement integrations across SaaS, on‑prem, and cloud platforms using a mix of batch, near‑real‑time, and asynchronous patterns.
Build and support file-based integrations using SFTP/FTPS, including encryption, compression, scheduling, and reconciliation.
Develop API-based integrations using REST and SOAP, including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and error handling.
Implement data mapping and transformation logic, ensuring data quality, validation, and schema alignment across systems.
Leverage SQL to analyze source and target data, validate integration results, and diagnose production issues.
Use integration platforms and middleware (such as iPaaS solutions) to orchestrate workflows, transformations, and routing logic.
Design integrations with strong operational characteristics, including logging, monitoring, alerting, retries, and idempotency.
Create and maintain technical documentation such as interface specifications, data mappings, support runbooks, and operational procedures.
Partner with architects, product owners, security, infrastructure, and functional teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.

During a Typical Day, You’ll
This role distinguishes between a core technical bar (what is required on day one) and a growth bar (how the role expands impact over time).
Core Technical Bar:
Design, build, and support production-grade integrations across multiple systems and platforms.
Implement secure and reliable data movement using file-based, API-based, and message-driven patterns.
Troubleshoot data, transport, and transformation issues across systems using logs, metrics, and SQL queries.
Own integrations through their full lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
Growth Bar:
Act as a technical owner for enterprise integration patterns, standards, and operational practices.
Define and evolve reusable integration components, templates, and reference architectures.
Improve reliability, observability, and supportability across the integration landscape.
Mentor other engineers and influence architectural decisions to scale integration capability.
What You Bring to the Role
Solid experience building and supporting integrations in enterprise environments with multiple upstream and downstream systems.
Hands-on experience with enterprise data movement, including secure file transfers (SFTP/FTPS), API integrations, and batch processing.
Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across systems.
Experience working with integration platforms, middleware, or custom integration solutions.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve cross-platform issues involving data, transport, timing, and transformation.
Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to clearly communicate technical issues, risks, and tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have Qualifications
Experience with Boomi or other iPaaS platforms.
Experience integrating HR, payroll, workforce management, or other enterprise business systems.
