What You'll Do
The Benefits Consultant is responsible for the strategic, operational, and regulatory oversight of benefits programs across multiple countries, with primary operational anchoring in the Philippines. This role partners closely with the Executive Director, Global Benefits, and regional stakeholders to ensure benefits programs are competitive, compliant, financially sound, and operationally efficient.
The role requires strong analytical capability, regulatory awareness, and the ability to influence and partner with business leaders, brokers, vendors, Payroll, Legal, Sourcing, and People & Culture partners within a global operating environment.Shape
During a Typical Day, You’ll
Global Benefits Oversight & Program Governance
- Own and oversee benefits programs across supported countries, ensuring alignment with global strategy and local market requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise on medical, risk, and onsite clinic programs
- Partner with brokers, consultants, and vendors to support effective program design and delivery
- Support benefits harmonization, scalability, and optimization initiatives
- Advise leaders and People & Culture partners on benefits strategy, design, and risk considerations
- Serve as a key advisor to the Executive Director, Global Benefits
Onsite Clinic Strategy & Vendor Management
- Oversee the performance, governance, and effectiveness of the onsite clinic vendor
- Manage vendor relationships, including service delivery, contractual obligations, and SLA adherence
- Partner with the clinic provider to ensure a high-quality employee healthcare experience
- Monitor clinic utilization, service patterns, and cost trends through data-driven analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve clinic performance, efficiency, and employee engagement
- Ensure vendor operations align with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (People & Culture, Payroll, Facilities, Legal) on clinic-related matters
- Manage issue resolution, escalations, and service improvement initiatives
- Support employee communications and education regarding clinic services
- Evaluate vendor performance and contribute to renewal or optimization discussions
Analytics, Controls & Process Excellence
- Perform monthly payroll audits and benefits-related reconciliation activities
- Ensure financial accuracy, reporting integrity, and operational controls
- Leverage advanced Excel and analytical tools for cost modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis
- Identify discrepancies, risks, and process improvement opportunities
- Drive operational efficiency and data integrity initiatives
- Support vendor performance validation and governance processes
Compliance & Regulatory Governance
- Ensure regulatory adherence across all supported jurisdictions
- Partner closely with Legal on regulatory interpretation, governance considerations, and risk assessment
- Support statutory filings, documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Maintain benefits policies and program documentation aligned with local regulations
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential program impacts
- Support internal audits and compliance-related reviews
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Partner closely with business leaders, brokers, and People & Culture teams
- Manage broker and vendor relationships, renewals, and performance discussions
- Communicate benefits considerations and changes clearly to stakeholders
- Support executive-level discussions with data-driven insights
What You Bring to the Role
- 5–10 years of benefits experience, preferably within the Philippines or multi-country environments
- Experience supporting or managing onsite clinic, healthcare provider, or vendor-based medical programs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support global business operations, including evening or night hours when required
- Strong knowledge of medical, risk, and health-related benefits
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and statutory governance requirements
- Experience working with brokers, consultants, and external vendors
- Experience supporting multi-country benefits programs
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong financial controls, payroll audit, and reconciliation capability
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
- Effective communication and public speaking skills
- Strong ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in BPO, shared services, or complex operational environments
- Experience supporting benefits across multiple countries
- Process improvement or operational optimization experience
