What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will be a learning professional with deep knowledge of adult learning, knowledge management systems, and emerging learning technologies, particularly in the domain of AI-enabled knowledge applications and platforms. The candidate will bring experience in applying KM practices to learning environments, integrating knowledge platforms into learning design, and evaluating the effectiveness of knowledge-enabled learning solutions in driving measurable business outcomes.
You'll report to the Senior Manager, Learning and Development. The Learning Innovation & Technology Specialist (Knowledge Management) will serve as a trusted advisor to L&D teams, providing expertise on how knowledge management strategies and systems can best support the design, delivery, and sustainability of learning programs. This includes collaborating with knowledge system vendors and internal design teams to align product roadmaps with learning priorities, enabling trainers to embed KM tools into instruction, and equipping learners with seamless access to knowledge resources that improve skill application and on-the-job performance. The role will also partner with IT to ensure that KM platforms are integrated within the broader learning ecosystem and organizational technology infrastructure.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
·Review and evaluate current knowledge management system functionalities and provide feedback on opportunities for improvement to knowledge platform vendors and internal stakeholders
·Provide input on system access, integrations, search optimization, and data utilization to knowledge system vendors and TTEC’s IT teams
·Oversee selection and deployments of knowledge-enabled learning solutions by collaborating with learning experience design leaders, training delivery leaders, Product, and IT partners
·Research and assess new features and capabilities of knowledge management technologies in partnership with KM vendors and TTEC’s IT teams
·Collaborate with TTEC’s Information Security team on KM system security features and approvals (e.g., UAT, integrations, SSO, URL allowlisting)
·Create and facilitate demos, workshops, and educational sessions on knowledge innovation and KM systems for internal teams and TTEC’s clients, showcasing how automation, intelligent search, and curated knowledge drive engagement, productivity, and speed to proficiency while reinforcing science-backed learning methodologies
·Monitor and research emerging trends in knowledge technologies, particularly in areas such as natural language processing and understanding (NLP/NLU), generative AI, and intelligent knowledge assistants, to inform future innovation
What You Bring to the Role
·Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, knowledge management, digital learning, education, or a related field (coursework or certification in knowledge systems and/or information science is desired)
·Advanced Internet skills and strong computer proficiency
·Knowledge of and practical application of adult learning theory, especially in knowledge organization and learning design that includes knowledge applications (experience with agile approaches to design and product management, such as scrum and/or rapid prototyping, is desired)
·4+ years of experience in:
oKnowledge management and learning systems (e.g., knowledge bases, KM platforms, LXPs, search and retrieval tools, curation platforms) including their access (e.g., SSO, mobile access, allowlisting) and integrations (e.g., APIs)
oStructuring, curating, and managing reusable learning assets within knowledge management systems
oCreating and managing knowledge-enabled learning content, including multimedia and performance support resources (experience with audio/video editing tools is a plus)
·Knowledge of emerging technologies in the KM domain (e.g., intelligent search, NLP/NLU, generative AI, RAG methods, and AI-powered knowledge assistants)
·Proficiency in MS Office (particularly advanced PowerPoint and Excel functionality)
·Experience in analyzing learning and knowledge data to evaluate usage patterns, learner behaviors, and the business impact of knowledge-enabled learning programs
