Senior Manager, Network Engineering
Position Summary
The Manager, Compute Infrastructure Engineering provides people leadership, operational direction, and technical oversight for TTEC’s enterprise compute infrastructure environment. This role leads a technical team responsible for supporting, administering, and improving core infrastructure services across Microsoft platforms, on-premises and Azure Active Directory, Linux, storage, backup, server administration, database administration, image management, and update management. The Manager serves as a calm, structured leader during periods of operational pressure, change, and ambiguity, helping teams work through complex technical issues, identify risk, communicate clearly with leadership, and deliver reliable infrastructure services that support business operations across a distributed enterprise environment.
·People leadership for a technical compute infrastructure team, including communication, prioritization, coaching, follow-through, and performance support
·Microsoft application and systems administration, including enterprise Windows server platforms and related infrastructure services
·Identity and directory services, including on-premises Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, access dependencies, and operational support models
·Compute infrastructure operations across Windows, Linux, storage, backup, server administration, database administration, image management, and update management
·Troubleshooting leadership for complex, high-pressure technical issues requiring coordination across multiple teams and technology domains
·Project leadership, scoping, task management, and execution follow-through for infrastructure initiatives, operational improvements, and business-impacting work
Duties & Responsibilities
·Lead and manage a technical compute infrastructure team responsible for supporting enterprise systems, platforms, and services that directly impact business operations
·Communicate effectively with team members, peer technology groups, senior leaders, and business stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
·Provide steady leadership during periods of chaos, change, major incidents, escalations, and shifting business priorities
·Guide troubleshooting sessions for complex technical problems, helping teams structure analysis, isolate root causes, evaluate options, and drive resolution
·Identify technical, operational, security, and business risks when recommending solutions or making infrastructure decisions
·Maintain focus and composure under pressure from leadership, clients, or business stakeholders during urgent operational situations
·Oversee operational support for Microsoft applications and systems, on-premises and Azure Active Directory, Linux systems, storage, server administration, backup strategies, database administration, image management, and update management
·Lead infrastructure projects from intake through execution, including scope definition, task planning, dependency management, stakeholder communication, and follow-through
·Work with the Executive Director to align team priorities, staffing, project commitments, operational support, and infrastructure improvements with broader IT and business objectives
·Coach and develop team members through clear expectations, feedback, prioritization support, technical guidance, and accountability for delivery
·Drive operational discipline through documentation, task tracking, process improvement, incident review, risk reduction, and continuous improvement practices
·Participate in critical incident response and provide leadership support for business-impacting outages, escalations, and after-hours events as required
Basic Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and progressive enterprise infrastructure experience
·5+ years of related experience managing enterprise compute infrastructure, systems administration, platform operations, or related technology functions
·Experience as a people manager, team lead, or technical leader responsible for guiding technical teams, setting priorities, managing follow-through, and supporting employee development
·Broad technical understanding of compute infrastructure, including Microsoft systems, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Linux, storage, backup, server administration, database administration, image management, and update management
·Demonstrated ability to lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure issues involving multiple systems, dependencies, and teams
·Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues, risks, options, and recommendations for leadership and non-technical stakeholders
·Ability to lead through ambiguity, change, operational pressure, and competing priorities while maintaining structure and team focus
·Experience identifying risks, evaluating solution tradeoffs, and making practical recommendations in complex enterprise environments
·Strong organizational skills, including project leadership, project scoping, task management, dependency tracking, and execution follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
·Experience managing infrastructure teams in a large, distributed, customer-facing, or regulated enterprise environment
·Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Linux administration, enterprise backup platforms, storage platforms, patching tools, and image management practices
·Experience supporting disaster recovery, backup validation, platform lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and operational risk reduction
·Familiarity with IT service management practices such as incident, problem, change, configuration, availability, and service continuity management
·Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts that require coordination across infrastructure, security, application, database, operations, and business technology teams
·Responsible use of AI-enabled tools to improve documentation, troubleshooting, operational analysis, knowledge management, and team productivity while maintaining governance and data protection standards
