What You’ll Do
This position is for individual contributors assigned with handling complex accounts and spearheading small to bigger projects for the team. They have an expert knowledge of contracts, gathering reporting data, excellent data analysis, validating information and applying appropriate accounting treatment to these transactions.
You'll report to Manager, Revenue Assurance.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
• In charge with the end-to-end launch process of selected new accounts / expansions and migrations in partnership with the Billing and Collections until transition to assigned analyst.
• Oversees the revenue recognition processes for accounts assigned to managed team, if any.
• Manages recording and reconciliation of revenue, reserves and revenue deferrals based on Revenue Recognition Policies.
• Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Monitors status of monthend activities and provides updates during MEC Status Meetings.
• Manages and analyzes accrual recordings vis-à-vis revenue forecasts and provides inputs during Revenue to Forecast Calls with FP&A Team.
• Manages contract repository and implements Change Management.
• Lead various process improvement projects related to revenue assurance and data accuracy.
• Maintaining process documentation and compliance with those processes.
• Developing accrual templates for new clients, reviewing contracts, identifying the source of billing elements, and establishing effective monthly processes.
• Communicating with Operations/Client Executive regarding revenue recognition requirements.
• May lead a small number of analysts, managing admin tasks for the team handled.
What You Bring to the Role
• BS/BA degree, Finance or Accounting
• Experience managing teams
• Understanding of US GAAP revenue recognition (ASC 605)
• Good organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• 4+ years experience dealing with invoicing, finance, or accounting process
• Public accounting experience preferred
• CPA, or eligible to sit for CPA exams, preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle R12 and Oracle Projects a plus
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
