What You’ll Do –
The Senior Business Product Owner is the functional authority and business owner for HR Service Delivery technology, with a primary focus on ServiceNow HRSD. This role brings deep domain expertise in HR service delivery and acts as the bridge between People & Culture, Global Services, and IT to ensure the platform is fully leveraged, well-governed, and continuously improved.
This individual owns the functional roadmap and requirements for HRSD and related capabilities and is expected to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and ensure solutions meet business needs—particularly in environments where HRSD capabilities may be underutilized and functional documentation must be strengthened.
This is not an IT role. It is a senior business-facing role that requires strong technical fluency, deep payroll and timekeeping knowledge, and the confidence to work in the weeds with IT while maintaining a business-first perspective.
During a Typical Day, You’ll:
• Serve as the business product owner for HR Service Delivery technology with end-to end functional accountability.
• Define and maintain the functional vision, strategy, and roadmap for HRSD aligned to HR outcomes and employee experience.
• Act as the primary decision-maker for business requirements, functional design direction, and prioritization.
• Ensure HRSD solutions support compliance, confidentiality, scalability, service quality, and consistent employee experience globally.
• Maintain deep expertise in ServiceNow HRSD capabilities, constraints, licensing
considerations, and new release features.
• Champion out-of-the-box functionality and minimize unnecessary customization.
• Lead development of clear, actionable business and functional requirements.
• Review solution designs, workflows, and integrations to ensure alignment with HR
service delivery realities.
• Own business-side ServiceNow release management including impact assessment and enablement planning.
• Establish and lead business-side governance for HRSD intake, prioritization, and design standards.
• Define and track KPIs such as adoption, case deflection, employee satisfaction, and cost avoidance.
• Build functional documentation and reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.
What You Bring to the Role:
• 10+ years of experience in HR service delivery operations and/or HR technology.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HRSD as a functional lead or power user.
• Proven experience acting as a business product owner for an enterprise platform.
• Strong experience writing business and functional requirements.
• Ability to translate platform capability into business value and challenge solution approaches.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
