What You’ll Do:
The Systems Administrator, as part of the TTEC Network Operations Center (NOC), is responsible for managing and maintaining all critical infrastructure systems and platforms that support the global TTEC 24x7 Operations.
You'll report to the Manager, Systems Software Engineering. Our global IT organization of 600 supports the entire enterprise that encompasses over 40,000 users across our businesses aligned in four pillars - Customer Care, Technology Services, Strategy Services, & Growth Services.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
·Infrastructure Monitoring
oRegularly monitor network infrastructure, systems, and applications.
oUse monitoring tools to detect anomalies, performance issues, and potential outages.
·Perform initial triage and troubleshooting steps by following SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to determine root cause of alerts generated
·Exceptional documentation and communication skills. Track, document all issues and resolutions in detail within the ticketing system
·Acts as a liaison with vendors and third-party providers, including ticket creation and escalation
·Capable of managing complex technical issues and communicating status to Customers.
·Flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements, including working different shifts in 24 by 7 support coverage.
·Solid Grasp of Foundational Technology
oUnderstand fundamental IT concepts, including hardware, software, and protocols.
oStay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
·Understanding of Networking and Server Infrastructure Basics
oFamiliarize yourself with network components, protocols, and server configurations.
oLearn about IP addressing, routing, and DNS.
·Knowledge of Compliance Principles
oComply with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
oUnderstand the importance of confidentiality and privacy.
·Adaptability to New Technologies
oBe open to learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
oAttend training sessions and workshops.
What You Bring to the Role
·Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience
·3-5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center type of environment or 2-5 years in Systems Administration or any equivalent.
·Experience managing, supporting and deploying IT infrastructures with a strong ability to diagnose systems/platform alerts, events or issues
·Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with minimal supervision
·Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to confidently speak with clients directly and collaborate and work well with others
·Experience documenting process and creating KB’s for use by other support technicians
·Expertise in maintaining Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022, VMware vSphere and MS Hyper-V on blade and rack-mounted servers from Dell, HP, Cisco
·Experience supporting messaging gateways (Proofpoint, IronPort, etc.), O365 and Microsoft Exchange in a multi-domain, enterprise environment.
·Detailed understanding of advanced Windows Services including Remote Desktop Services, IIS, DNS, DHCP
