What You’ll be Doing:
The Associate General Counsel, TTEC Engage, is a senior member of the Engage legal team responsible for legal support of a $1.7 Billion business segment of TTEC Holdings (NASDAQ: TTEC) a publicly listed company with operations in more than 20 countries around the globe. The Associate General Counsel, TTEC Engage will report to Chief Counsel TTEC Engage and will be a strategic partner to sales and operations leaders, partnering with risk management, finance, security, IT, and people and culture organizations to maximize value and managing risk for TTEC shareholders. The role is a part of a global TTEC Risk & Legal team, which has a reputation as a business enabler and a valued business partner. The role can be based anywhere in the United States were TTEC does business. Although the role can be remote for the right candidate, it is our preference for the role be a hybrid where several days a week are spent in the office.
During a typical Day You’ll:
• Participate in the deal process from start to finish to ensure that TTEC’s best interests are represented, and that through contracts we maintain an appropriate balance between reasonable risk and growth goals.
• Analyzes and effectively negotiates contract terms that support our business objectives, while complying with laws relevant to service outsourcing and consistent with TTEC policies.
• Provides advice and counsel to the executive leadership and key stakeholders with clear focus on enabling our business objectives.
• Partners with contract managers responsible for the day-to-day management of TTEC’s commercial agreements including legal oversight, some supervision and developing creative legal solutions to complex commercial negotiations.
• Participates in sales pipeline and strategy meetings to stay abreast of the TTEC sales initiatives and priorities.
• Supports execution on commercial, offerings, and strategic changes by understanding and providing guidance on the relevant legal issues, including creating new templates, policies, processes, and other tools to improve efficiencies within the Legal Department.
• Proactively raises issues, streamlines processes, and helps drive deal teams to contract closure.
• Stays curious about our business and maintains subject matter expertise by constantly learning.
• Promotes continuous improvement of standard contract forms and templates, contract review and approval processes.
• Support onboarding for Sales. Operations, Legal and Finance talent new to TTEC, by offering engaging overview of how TTEC contracts for business.
What You Bring to the Role:
The Deputy Chief Counsel, TTEC Engage is a positive, pragmatic individual with strong negotiation and communication skills; a person with a strategic view on problem identification and root cause solutions; a person with high ethical standard, strong business acumen, who thrives in fast-paced growth and results oriented environment. The role requires an accomplished individual who has proven track record of negotiating complex deals, is comfortable being out of the “comfort zone,” and who enjoys having a seat at the table to help the business make right decisions, enabling our strategic goals. The candidate we seek will bring many of the following experiences to the role:
· Experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial agreements; experience with business process outsourcing transactions, managed services, IT outsourcing transactions, and/or technology and technology services transactions or Intellectual Property matters is a major plus.
· Sound experience in commercial contract negotiation for services and technology solutions.
· Strong drafting skills focused on a balanced risk approach aimed at getting the right deals done on the right terms.
· Excellent listening skills combined with tough-mindedness; the candidate will offer critical perspective with a strong sense of partnership, pragmatic, and clear guidance/feedback to help solve business problems.
· Strong work ethic, superior organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and work well independently and as a collaborative team member.
· Ability to build cross-functional relationships across the globe.
· Excellent written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Growth mindset, highly tuned emotional intelligence, and the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
· 12+ years of relevant legal experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts, gained while working for an in-house legal team or in private practice.
· Confident leadership with skills in diplomacy, executive communication, emotional intelligence, and flexibility.
· Sound judgment, good business acumen, and a practical approach designed to balance competing legal and business priorities.
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, focused on getting things done, not on taking credit.
· Avoids “legal-speak” and engages with clients and stakeholders at their level.
· Is accessible, engendering confidence, while garnering respect and credibility.
· Is a consummate team player, who collaborates well with others, while taking accountability for the outcomes and giving credit to those who contributed to accomplishments.
· Experience with LinkSquares or similar end-to-end contract life cycle management tools.
· A strong technology focused mindset that fosters a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
· Ability to understand and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and software applications to support contracting activities and other responsibilities.
· Enjoys working hard and being continually challenged and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
· Willingness to occasionally travel, as needed.
EDUCATION
· The candidate should be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas or any other U.S. jurisdiction where TTEC has active operations.

The anticipated range is $150,000-200,000. Actual compensation offers to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill levels.
